You can consult the last Crescina® in-vivo test, published by Springer on its well renowned scientific publication, “Dermatology and Therapy”, an international, open access, rapid publication journal, which is dedicated to the publication of high-quality preclinical, clinical (all phases), observational, real-world, and health outcomes research around the discovery, development, and use of dermatological therapies. Moving forward from traditional publishing, Dermatology and Therapy offers a range of additional enhanced features designed to increase visibility, readership, and the educational value of the content.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of hair loss among males, characterized by progressive thinning of the scalp hairs and defined by various patterns. The main factors underling hair loss in AGA are genetic predisposition and increased sensitivity of the hair follicles to androgens, leading to a shortening of the anagen phase. In the present study, the authors investigated the efficacy of the cosmetic lotion Crescina® HFSC (human follicle stem cell; Labo Cosprophar AG, Basel, Switzerland) in promoting hair growth and in decreasing hair loss.
*Result after 4 months of in-vivo clinical/instrumental double-blind testing, randomized and controlled with a placebo on 46 subjects (23 treated with the Crescina HFSC product and 23 with the placebo). The male subjects presented levels of thinning at grades II, III, III vertex and IV of the Hamilton-Norwood scale. All of the subjects recorded positive results from a minimum of +7 to a maximum of +41 new hairs growing in an area subject to an electronic count of 1.8 cm². The results of the test are statistically significant.
6.300 NEW HAIRS GROWING
On the basis of a mathematical analysis of the average results verified in an area of 1 cm² and extended to the whole surface of the scalp (around 600 cm²), we arrive at an average figure of 6.300 new hairs growing after 4 months of treatment with Crescina HFSC. Instrumental analysis conducted using phototrichogram.

Crescina can be used during pregnancy. However, because of the peculiarities of this particular physiological condition, Labo usually recommends to inform your doctor about the application of the treatment.
In order not to stress too much the scalp, it is advisable to suspend the treatment when you dye your hair and to resume the application from the day after.
Sure, there are no incompatibilities at all.
It is not essential to buy a shampoo of the same line. It is important, however, to use a mild shampoo: from this point of view, Crescina shampoo guarantees the maximum quality.
The minimum period of application is 2 months, although it is usually recommended to apply the treatment for at least 3 months.
Absolutely yes. You feel a slight sensation of heat due to the presence of the vasodilator.
You should have reached adulthood. In order to choose the dosage that best suits your needs, it is useful to consult Hamilton / Norwood thinning scale for men and Ludwig / Savin thinning scale for women.
Crescina should be applied on dry and clean hair (in the morning or evening, depending on your preference) and left to act until the next washing, preferably recommended not earlier than 24 hours since the application.
Springer’s authoritative journal “Dermatology and Therapy” has published a study that the researchers of Pavia University Department of Biology and Biotechnologies carried out on Crescina HFSC.
Results depend on the individual conditions. According to the in-vivo tests on volunteers, 100% of the subjects obtained positive results in terms of new hair growth after 4 months of treatment.
The PaO (Period After Opening) symbol must be reported on the labelling of all cosmetic products, except for: those products having a minimum durability of less than 30 months, that will therefore report the caption “Best before…”; single-dose products (such as Crescina vials).
